Manufacturing competence
Since 1993 EVB Technology (HK) Limited has manufactured large scale, prismatic battery cells. Commencing with Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) as one of original Ovonic licensees, EVB now manufactures both Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LiFePO4) and NiMH.
Vast Expertise
Throughout the past 18 years, EVB has developed and improved its method of manufacturing of the large scale batteries. EVB benefits from its parent’s, Gold Peak, 47 years of battery manufacturing experience in various chemistries, sizes, and shapes in various formats: manual, semi-automated, and fully automated. The combination of experience empowers EVB to provide high quality cells in both the LiFePO4 and NiMH chemistries in a variety of capacities.
Flexibility
EVB uses semi-automated manufacturing methods, which allow a degree flexibility that a fully automated line would not allow. Semi-automated permits small batch runs and in line improvements as the manufacturing team receives customer feedback.
In-House Development and Improvements
Manufacturing in EVB is on a large swathe of machines designed and developed by EVB’s in-house product development team. The team is a mix of chemical and production engineers teamed with skilled craftsmen capable of improving existing manufacturing methods and introducing new and efficient means to manufacturing large scale, prismatic cells.
Quality and Development
Improving quality and implementing new development goes hand in hand in EVB. All development is the result of heavy focus on quality with strident measures to ensure maximum batch efficiency and cell performance. All quality improvements are the result of new developments designed to answer or exceed the needs of quality and effective cells.
Testing
Located adjacent to the actual production facility, the testing team and facility conducts ongoing sample testing from manufactured batches to re-enforce EVB’s commitment to high quality and performance in each cell. Additionally, EVB has at its deposal the complete testing facilities of the Gold Peak group if needed for detailed analysis and review of each type of cell.
